What are TERI M.Sc. Economics Entrance details ?
TERI School of Advanced Studies or popularly known as TERI SAS was established in 1998. The aim of TERI SAS was to provide top class academic learning programmes. It has state-of-art research which constantly updates the curriculum of programmes to increase its societal relevance. This further strengthen the Institute and increase its contribution to both India and the globe. In 2009, four scholarship programmes were set up for students in various programmes at the TERI SAS, funded by Sindicatum Climate Change Foundation, HSBC, Deutsche Bank and IOC (Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.). In 2013, The Coca Cola Department of Regional Water Studies was set up with generous support from The Coca Cola Foundation. TERI SAS aims to create academic excellence and provide an environment that will encourage both personal and intellectual growth through teaching, creating and sharing knowledge.
The Deemed University offers top class education and enables its students to develop new ideas and perspectives on their respective subjects. Further, TERI SAS has entered into MoUs with several international universities aimed at facilitating mutually beneficial exchange of students, faculty, knowledge, resources and ideas. M.Sc. Economics from TERI SAS is definitely on the list for students who wants to pursue Masters in Economics. TERI M.Sc. Economics
TERI offers MSc (Economics) with a specialization in Environment and Resource economics which is unique as it not only includes advanced graduate level exposure to microeconomics, macroeconomics, mathematics, development economics, growth economics, statistics, and econometrics, but also receive an in-depth knowledge of the concepts, theories, techniques, policies and other applications in ecological, environmental, and natural resource economics.
Like any other institute Master’s Thesis is mandatory at TERI SAS as well. The quality of the dissertations has been appreciated in various forums including national and international conferences. Some of these dissertations have also resulted in publications in peer- reviewed journals.
TERI M.Sc. Economics Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility Criteria is as follows :
The aspirants should have done B.A. (Hons.) / B.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics with 50 % or more marks in aggregate. (CGPA of 5.65)
OR
Bachelor degree in any other discipline with at least 60% marks in aggregate (CGPA of 6.75).
Important Note
The applicant must have studied mathematics either at 10+2 level or at Bachelor's level, either as subsidiary or as honours.
